ClixSense

2009 September 18
Posted by Amy C.

ClixSense is another PTC site I am a member of. This site can be joined for free, with an optional upgrade to Premium for $10.00 per year.

The free version usually gives you about 5-10 clicks per day, most of them paying 1 cent per click, with some paying 2 cents. The minimum payout is $10.00 via check, but you can set your default to $20.00 or $50.00. There is a referral program. You are paid 1 cent per referral when they sign up, plus $2.00 when one of your referrals upgrades to premium. You are earn 10% of your referrals ad purchases. You have the opportunity to play a game called ClixGrid. This is a page where you can click 20 times for a chance to win cash from 1 cent to $5.00.

Upgrading to premium gives the same benefits as the free membership with some upgrades. First, you are paid 10 cents when you refer a new member instead of 1 cent. You still receive the $2.00 per upgraded referral. you also get $1.00 when your referrals have referrals who upgrade to premium. You receive this dollar on levels 2 through 4. Level 5 pays $2.00 per upgraded referral. When you first upgrade to premium, there will be a few hundred ads to click that only available to premium members. I had about 450 ads available to me. That has nearly half paid for my premium membership. You also can click in the ClixGrid game 50 times per day, instead of 20.

One feature I like about ClixSense is that you can use your earnings to advertise other sites you would like to direct traffic to.

Today was a pretty light day. I worked mostly on the 450 ads that ClixSense gave me after upgrading. I am working on finding other blogs to post on and ask questions, as well as researching other sites to join. In the next few days and weeks, I will be posting some of my favorites.

Today’s review – NeoBux

2009 September 17
Posted by Amy C.

I think of all the sites I have tried so far, NeoBux is my favorite. It is different from many PTC sites in that the site itself does a TON of advertising to get referrals. They then turn around and rent those referrals to the users for 1-3 months at a time. You are also allowed to directly refer people as well.

You are required to rent referrals to upgrade to golden, but it is pretty inexpensive to rent referrals. Golden membership costs $90 per year after fulfilling the minimum time as a member and renting requirements. Standard members usually get 4-6 ads to click per day, sometimes more. You must click at least 4 links per day to earn from your referrals.

This looks to be a site I will be putting a lot of my early profits into. It is very easy to use. There is a forum to go to for help. The members on the forum are extremely helpful and active, as is the admin. It is very refreshing to see the admin online helping users.

Today, I have done my clicks and worked on Mechanical Turk quite a bit. I also tried an ad for PeopleSense on ClixSense, but received no new referrals. I will be experimenting with ad content and trying different sites to advertise for a few days to see if anything works. I did have to hits on my TrekPay link, but no sign-ups.

I have also added a column to my table. My math was messed up with my total earnings and expenses.

Yesterday’s Work

2009 September 16
Posted by Amy C.

I had a rough evening at home, so I didn’t get to post this last night.

Yesterday was a pretty slow day. I did my clicks. I finally got a few more advertisements in YouData. I like this company a lot. They keep members informed and they pay quickly. Their big downfall is that they are still building a network of advertisers, so there are not a lot of ads. Hopefully, that will change soon.

I did have to recycle one of my referrals on NeoBux today because they just were not clicking. Hopefully, the new one is better, and the other two continue.

For some reason Google doesn’t like my dibit card, so I have not actually finished my upgrade at ClixSense yet. I will be finishing that up today.

Later today, I will post an overview of another site, but for now, here are yesterday’s stats:

Mechanical Turk – My Start in This Journey

2009 September 15
Posted by Amy C.

I started this journey on July 18, 2009 with my search to find out if an opportunity my husband was interested in was a scam. In the process, I found my journey by joining some Paid-to-Click (PTC) sites and went from there.

One of the first sites I happened to run across was one called Mechanical Turk. This is a site affiliated with Amazon.com. Advertisers hire workers to do small tasks ranging from entering information from pictures to writing articles to making forum posts and all kinds of things in between. The pay for these tasks ranges from $0.01 up to $10. Most of the tasks pay 1-2 cents each. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but trust me, they add up. I am using this site to build up revenue to pay for upgrades and advertising. You can request payout to either an Amazon.com gift card or to a US bank account when your balance reaches $30. I have been paid by this site. I cashed out $34 this past weekend. I find this to be a very reputable site, with nearly unlimited potential. My philosophy on Mechanical Turk is that most evenings while watching TV, I am playing online anyway, so why not do some tasks and get paid for it?

Anyway, for today, I did my clicks and cashed out $34 from Mechanical Turk. $10 of this, I am using to upgrade my membership in ClixSense. This will enable me to get paid more for referrals and have more ads to click. The other $24 will be transferred into Neobux to grow there.

Here is my progress so far:

Total Earned           $70.97
Total Expenses             $10.75 $34.00
Total Profit                 $60.22

I was able to add my information from SendEarnings and YouData today. I was having login problems with both sites yesterday, so the information is not there. My profit is slightly lower, but I have upgraded in one program, so I am okay with the lower profits.

Welcome to my mission log

2009 September 13
Posted by Amy C.

I am sharing with all of you my new mission. About two months ago, I started working with PTC and PTR sites, as well as Mechanical Turk. I started with no money out of pocket, and my goal is to earn a PROFIT of $500 per month. I will be updating daily my balances on all the programs I have joined (about 8-10), the amount of referrals I have in each, my advertising methods and expenses, my profit for the month and the total profit.

In the next week or so, I will be introducing my programs to you, as well as how I found them and some other resources I use to keep the scam artists away and find new programs. I will not be investing any money from my own pocket. I started with nothing, I will earn all my advertising money from Mechanical Turk and the sites I have joined.

Please follow along with me as I make my journey through the crazy online world. Hopefully, you can share some of your successes with anyone reading.

Each day, I will write about what I have done that day with advertising, clicks, etc. I will also provide all the relevant stats for each program I am a part of (referrals, cash earned, and progress made). For the first couple weeks, I will also add a little information about the programs I am a part of, so you can decide if you want to join or investigate further.
